Javier García Campayo is a psychiatrist at the Miguel Servet University Hospital and Accredited Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Zaragoza. He did his training at the University of Zaragoza, where he received a doctorate. He has conducted research stays at the Universities of Manchester and Cambridge (Great Britain) McGill (Montreal, Canada). He has been President of the Spanish Society of Psychosomatic Medicine. It coordinates the Mental Health Research Group of Aragon that belongs to the Primary Care Research Network (REDIAPP) of the Ministry of Health. He has published more than 200 research papers, more than 50 on the subject of mindfulness. He coordinates the Master of Mindfulness at the University of Zaragoza, the first on this subject in Spain. He is the author of books such as "Mindfulness and science", "The science of compassion" and "Mindfulness and education", all in Editorial Alliance, "What do we know about mindfulness?" And "The Attentive Warrior" in Editorial Kairós and "Manual of Mindfulness ”and“ Mindfulness and compassion ”in Editorial Siglantana. Organizes every two years the International Congress of Mindfulness, the most important of the subject in Spanish-speaking countries.
