Carlos is an Industrial Engineer at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, PDD by IESE, and studied SMTC in Stanford University and IESE. Carlos is patron of the FEMCat Entrepreneurs Foundation, a member of the Innovation Commission of the Labor Development Board, the business council of Pompeu Fabra University, the advisory board of the Esplai Foundation, and a mentor to the Mentoring programme of Barcelona Activa and MIT and the startupbootcamp accelerator of the Internet of Things.


 


Experience


Carlos is a Partner of Konsac Group responsible for the area of Innovation and Digital Transformation, leading the selection and development of the firm's talent in this area, and in turn expert consultant in open innovation strategies and sales techniques. With more than 25 years of experience in management positions in large companies in the technology sector, Carlos has been General Manager of Microsoft in Catalonia between 2005 and 2014 and in turn Director for Public Sector in Spain. In his first four years at Microsoft he managed to triple the company's turnover in Catalonia. Previously, he had been a member of the management team of Sun Microsystem between 1991 and 2002, holding various positions of responsibility in Spain and internationally, being responsible for partners for Europe. Between 1991 and 1995 Carlos consolidated significant business growth under his responsibility ($3M to $60M). He had previously held positions of responsibility in the areas of sales and consulting at Hewlett-Packard, Telefónica and Andersen Consulting. Carlos has been CEO of startups such as StepOne and biid, and Director of Sales and Operations at Tempos 21.2.
